Ignite Productions is a boutique fine-art and photographic printing studio operated by me, Mark Benson, on British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast — where I’ve lived, created, and refined my craft for the past twenty years.

I began as a photographer who wanted to be involved in the creative process from beginning to end. I wasn’t satisfied with handing my images off at the final step and hoping they would be translated well. I wanted to understand why a print worked, how colour lived on paper, and what it truly took to honour an image in its final form. That curiosity led me into a deep, long-term study of fine-art printmaking and colour science.

Ignite Productions specializes exclusively in museum-grade, archival-quality printing. Every print is produced on the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-4600 using Canon’s advanced LUCIA PRO II pigment-ink system, paired with 100% acid-free cotton papers from leading manufacturers such as Ilford, Hahnemühle and Breathing Colour. This combination delivers exceptional colour accuracy, deep, dimensional blacks, refined tonal transitions, and extraordinary print longevity.

All work is produced within a fully colour-managed workflow. Each paper and substrate is individually profiled with precision, ensuring that the full potential of every image is faithfully translated to paper — with exact colour rendition, maximum colour gamut, and beautifully preserved shadow and highlight detail. Nothing is left to chance.

Ignite Productions operates as a true boutique printing studio. While large commercial labs may use similar equipment, they cannot offer the same level of care, consistency, and personal attention. I approach every print with patience, discernment, and a deep respect for the image and the artist behind it.

In addition to producing exhibition-quality prints, I work directly with clients to prepare digital files or scans for optimal output, helping refine tone, contrast, and colour so that each image reaches its highest possible expression in print.

Canvas Giclée Printing

Ignite Productions excellence in fine art reproductions and printing extends to our giclée prints on canvas. Giclée printing on canvas is popular with artists who are looking for prints that are lightweight and easy to display, or who are simply looking for the timeless, elegant aesthetic that art on canvas provides.

Our canvas prints are done on Breathing Color premium canvas which provides excellent whiteness and colour rendition with the classic look and feel of a natural artist’s canvas. Print sizes range from 12”x18” up to 64” wide, and can be purchased with and without mounting onto stretcher bars.
